TS-h686, TS-h886, TVS-h874 or another ZFS-based QNAP failed? We recover QuTS hero ZFS pools.
QNAP’s “h” models run QuTS hero, which uses the ZFS file system instead of ext4. ZFS is very robust, with checksums, snapshots and deduplication – but when a pool fails, recovery needs specialist knowledge of how ZFS stores data across disks.
We image each disk and reconstruct the ZFS pool, datasets and snapshots from the images, without writing anything to your originals.

Every job starts with a free initial consultation. We image each disk, repairing failed disks in our clean room first, then rebuild the RAID, the storage pool and the ext4 or ZFS volume from the images. Your original disks are never written to, and key files are checked before we copy them to an external drive for you.
It needs different tools and experience, but ZFS keeps a lot of redundant information that often helps recovery. We assess this at the free consultation.
