Creative IT always recommends you to ship your hard drive in original manufacturer’s packing. You can also provide equivalent protection by wrapping the drive in anti-static material and packing it in durable, corrugated cardboard box with sufficient foam padding. Don’t forget to ensure that the padding material used is twice the size of the device to prevent damage during transit. For water damaged drives, you should enclose a damp sponge along with the device and seal them in a plastic bag.
